Today it snowed 7 3/4 inchs. They predicted 4 to 8 and it came. The thing is that it is suppose to snow for the rest of the week also. It is awsome to see all the white. The snow is hanging off the roof about 8 inchs and Grant thinks its cool. It made work really slow today, but we sold the rest of our snowblowers and 8 pallets of ice melt. I actually just came in from shoveling grass so our dog Libbie could go to the bathroom. She wouldn't go out all day Jennifer said and had an accident in the house. So I went out and shoveled the back patio and a little grass spot and she went willingly. Kent finally slept through the night on Monday day for the first time, YEAH!! He didn't repeat it last night, but he honestly isn't getting up as much since he had tubes put in his ears. Grant is talking up a storm and a lot of fun. He also loves to make animal noises, pretend to be a super reader (have to see the show on PBS)(he puts on a cape for this)(there is a picture of this in the previous post), pretends to do spiderman poses, and he loves to read books.

January 20 - 26, 2008

This was and interesting week for the Belnaps. I took a week of vacation so that we could get the kitchen floor done. The first thing that happened as our other blogs say is we got sick. It started with Grant and then me and then Kent, and then Jen. Needless to say, we never got to the floor till Thursday. With the help of my wonder wife Jen, we got it done by 9pm Friday night so we would be ready to go to the McCall Winter Festival with some friends on Saturday. We got up at 6:30pm on Saturday so Jen could go to the store and I could start gathering things for our day of fun in McCall and the snow. The boys ended up waking up earlier than we wanted and adding to the fun or packing. We were still ready and at the Church to meet our friends as planned at 9:02am. We thought we would be the last ones there, but we were the first. Only one other couple showed up a little while later and we finally left at 9:30am after finding out the others had backed out. So we took of for McMcall 120 miles away. You would think 120 miles could be done in about two hours, but it took us a lot longer do to the headlight being out on our Honda and having to stop to fix that. The other thing was getting stuck behind slow drives going up the mountians. I don't think we went faster than 40 most of the way. It didn't help that it looked like a train of cars for miles. Well, we got there and we were excite! We bundled up the kids and ourselves, put them on the sled to drag them the mile to the actual place of the festival. Half way there, our kids started screaming and wouldn't stop. So, we ended up seeing about four carvings, and walking 2 miles. It was six hours of driving for one hour of hell. We will not be doing that again without a babysitter. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

After that 9pm sled ride, we came in and the boys were not done playing yet. Kent finally got on and rode with his big brother around the living room for another 10 minutes. Once dad was done, Grant then pulled the sled around for 15 or 20 minutes while mom put Kent to bed. (1/8/08)

Grant Sleding

Here is Grant sleding for the second time in his life. As the earlier blog said, he loves the snow. I had actually pulled him around like this 2 days before at 9pm at night. The snow was a lot thicker and we had a great time. We had made a big figure eight track that went over the drive way, around the tree, back across the drive way, over a jump and almost to the neighbors yard before turning around and doing it again. We did that for 10 to 15 minutes and then came in for the night to warm up.

Snow

Grant loves the snow. It has snowed here in the Boise area more this year that it has in a long time according to those that have been here a while. As most of you know I work at Lowe's, and when it snowed for four days off and on, we sold every snow shovel and all the ice melt we had. Anyway, Grant loves the snow and always wants to go play it. Here is outside with a little shovel having a great time. We are going to go up to the McCall winter festival this Saturday to see all the ice sculptures and go sleding.

Boy and Tools

Grant loves to play with tools that don't make noise. Here, on 1/21/08 he got out my tool box of screwdrivers. He thought it was great to show us everyone and say what color was on the handle. Or course, Kent had to be part of it and they played for a long time with the screwdrivers. Luckily there was enough that the two didn't fight over them to much.

We thought it was great when Grant went and got on his little car that his G-ma Stahl gave him and then went and got the motorcycle helmet and put it on. He went around in circles on the car and looked so cute.

Last Night 1/21-22/08

Last night was a rough night for the Belnap's. It all started with Grant throwing up in Wal-Mart with mom while shopping. Dad was at home working on getting the kitchen and living room floor done. Then Grant had a few more episodes of this at home in his room, bed, and living room. Then at 2am, I got it also and was constantly in the restroom. Both Grant and I are doing better, but now Kent has the runs. Good thing he wears a diaper. We all just hope that Jen doesn't get this and can keep being the good nurse she has been to all of us.
